It is hard to believe that summer break is already behind us! The boys truly had a fun-filled summer, and they were very excited to start the new school year! I am happy to introduce you to....one very excited Fourth Grader and a cheerful First Grader!
And sporting new backpacks!
We are getting back into the groove of the homework and fall sports! Check back soon for more pictures!
The month of July was jam-packed with lots of outdoor activities for our family! To kick off the 4th of July holiday, the boys spent a warm, sunny day at the pool in Murray. Collin decided he was brave enough to tackle the diving board. Check out the photos below!
Getting Ready for the BIG jump!
Jump, Karate Style!

After two fun-filled weeks in Mayfield (thanks again Mim, Pop, Nana, and Papa John), Cooper headed to Crossings Kids' Church Camp! Along with three other New City students and two chaperones (including Daddy), Cooper traveled to Cedarmore for 3 1/2 days of Bible Study, Fellowship, and Blobbing! Check out the video below:
On the last evening of camp, Collin and I headed to camp to watch the team boat race. The New City youth had previously built the boat and one of Cooper's fellow campers was going to attempt to paddle to the finish line! Their team came in 3rd Place!
While the boys were on vacation in Mayfield, Andy and I researched a new family friendly water sport that our family could enjoy together. After research, we opted to try our hand at kayaks! We have all enjoyed our new hobby...we have enjoyed McNeely Lake, Long Run Park, Jefferson Memorial Forest, Fisherman's Park, and most recently Floyd's Fork at The Parklands. Andy was even able to enhance the kayaks with fishing pole holders!
After a trial run in our kayaks, the boys decided that they enjoyed the kayaks as much as we did, so they got "sit on" kayaks perfect for their size!
Introducing the "Green Gorilla"....
And, Cooper's boat...he is still deciding on a name:
We hope you all have had an enjoyable summer so far! The boys still have two more weeks before school starts. Check back soon for Back to School pics!
