Yes, it has been way too long since I have posted. And, even longer since Andy has posted on his own blog. I had intended to post pictures after the first January snow, but it has been a bit chaotic around here since Christmas break. In early January, Louisville got a few inches of snow, and the boys were very excited about getting their snow boots and new sleds out in the snow! Daddy even suited up in his Carhart Overalls and had some fun too! Since Momma was a bit nervous about the boys sledding down the cul-de-sac without protective gear, i.e., helmets, Daddy used his engineer background and used a rope to help them down and up the hill!
And, yes, Collin thought he could drive his Cozy Coupe down the side hill! We topped off the early evening with snow cream BEFORE dinner complete with chocolate syrup and LOTS of sprinkles.
We almost made it to the end of the January without being sick, but both boys caught the ICK complete with fever and a horrible cough. I am happy to report that they are both on the mend and enjoying the upcoming Valentine Day activities.
Collin has been working hard on recognizing the letters in the alphabet. This week his class worked on the letter P. When Andy picked him up on Friday, Collin went up to Andy and asked if he wanted to see his "P". Andy thought it was a different kind of p, so he wasn't quite so sure. But, his teacher walked over to show Andy his great looking "P" in his favorite color...Purple!
On Friday, Cooper's class celebrated Valentine's Day with a Friendship party. One of the crafts involved creating a mouse with a hershey kiss (thanks for the idea, Mim).
We also got a special treat tonight...an overnight visit with Miss Lila Jane. (Notice I cannot call her Baby Lila anymore....) She was a big helper all night. She helped Aunt B at the grocery. The goldfish in the purse came in handy and she loves to turn around and show you what is in the basket! She also likes to eat! She was entertained by Cooper & Collin. They thought it would be funny to have a pillow fight, but Lila was only slightly amused. But, the girl does love her bath time!
Oh, and I get to dress Lila up tomorrow in the cutest Valentine outfit complete with a sweater, tights, and a polka dot skirt! More pictures to come!
